上出瓷藝（かみでしげい）は九谷焼を原点とした工芸的で親しみやすいイメージを提案しています

土を形作り、釉薬を施し、窯で焼成する。陶工には焼き上がりを制御しようとする心と、窯に預けようとする二つの心があります。上出瓷藝（かみでしげい）が考える工芸とは素材と手順という二つの制約を受け入れることで生まれる均衡。そのような美しい人の営みを様々な手法で柔軟に考え、工芸から少し離れてしまった現代へ親しみのあるイメージをお届けしたいと思います。

「瓷（シ・ジ）」には「釉薬がかかった焼き物。堅くきめの細かい焼き物。＝磁器。」という意味があります。

Forming clay, applying glaze, and firing in a kiln.

One potter has two minds: one that tries to control the firing process, and another trusts the kiln's will. Our idea of craft is an equilibrium created by accepting the two constraints of materials and procedures. We want to think of this beautiful human activity flexibly using various techniques and deliver images familiar to modern people who have become a little distant from arts and crafts.

The Chinese character “瓷 ( Shi/Ji ) ” is defined as “glazed ware / hard and fine ware = porcelain

上出惠悟 Keigo Kamide

1981年石川県生まれ、2006年東京藝術大学美術学部絵画科油画専攻卒業。同年より、1879年創業の九谷焼窯元である上出長右衛門窯の後継者として、職人と共に多くの企画や様々な作品を制作、伝統の枠に囚われない柔軟な発想で九谷焼を現代に伝える。伝統柄をアレンジした「笛吹」や、スペイン人デザイナーを招聘した「JAIME HAYON×KUTANI CHOEMON」シリーズなどを発表。2013年合同会社上出瓷藝（かみでしげい）設立を機に本格的に窯の経営に従事すると共に、KUTANI SEAL、丸八製茶場、結わえる、福光屋、ユニクロなどのブランド、企業の商品企画、パッケージデザイン制作を担当。また個人作家としても活動し、精力的に個展を開催している。

Keigo Kamide

Keigo Kamide (b. 1981 in Ishikawa) graduated from Tokyo University of Arts with a BA in Painting specializing in oil painting in 2006. During the same year, Kamide joined Kutani Choemon, his family-owned Kutani ware manufacturer founded in 1879. As a 6th generation successor to the historical pottery, he has been working with artisans to create various projects and products with flexible ideas unconstrained by tradition, breathing life to Kutani ware to appeal to modern living. Kamide designed contemporary Kutani ware products such as Japanese teacup with an arrangement of the traditional Kutani pattern “Fuefuki (flutist),” and “JAIME HAYON × KUTANI CHOEMON” collections collaborated with Spanish designer Jaime Hayon.

Since Kamide Shigei LLC’s establishment in 2013, Kamide has been engaging in full-scale kiln management while also managing the product planning and package designing for brands and companies such as KUTANI SEAL, Maruhachi Seichajo, Yuwaeru, Fukumitsuya,and UNIQLO.

As an individual artist, Kamide holds subsequent solo exhibitions.
